Primark shoppers have praised a pair of 'comfortable and stretchy' trousers as a budget-friendly alternative to a high-end design. The high street retailer's Casual Barrel Leg Trousers, priced at £16, have been compared to Cos' Barrel Leg Trousers, which retail at £75.
TikTok user Kate McCaskill shared her discovery, saying she had been searching for barrel-leg trousers that fit plus sizes and provide the desired silhouette, similar to the Cos version, which comes in sizes 32 to 44. She tried on three colours of the Primark trousers, available in black, camel, khaki, and white, in sizes XXS to XXL.
Kate said: 'I am obsessed with the silhouette, the shape, the fit of these. They are so comfy, they're really flattering... They're stretchy, they've got a tie [waist], which is so important for me for comfort.' She added that despite being slightly too long, she would turn them up, and recommended them as a 'cost-effective alternative that is also size-inclusive'.
Other shoppers shared their enthusiasm, with one commenting: 'Ooh! very nice,' and another adding: 'Okay, I'm buying them all!' The trousers feature an elasticated waistband, adjustable drawstring, and a barrel-leg silhouette that tapers at the cropped ankle, made from lightweight, textured fabric.
Similar styles are available from other retailers, including ASOS with its ASOS DESIGN pull-on barrel trousers at £28, and Uniqlo's Jersey Barrel Leg Trousers at £34.90.
