Hundreds of people queued at Trafford Palazzo near the Trafford Centre on July 5 for the grand opening of P.Louise's flagship superstore. The all-pink venue opened at Sunday lunchtime, marking a major milestone for the viral beauty brand.
The store comes fresh from P.Louise's expansion into Boots stores earlier this month. Inside, customers can explore a hair salon, a P.Louise supermarket, a pink 'petrol station', and the P.Louise Vault, where subscribers access top-tier products like the golden Bad B*tch Energy set.
Founder's Emotional Speech
Paige Louise Williams, 33, from Droylsden, addressed the crowd before the unveiling. Joined by her mother, she said: 'Never in my wildest dreams did I think little old me from Droylsden would pull up such a crowd.'
'For a girl who comes from a mum who had me at 15, I don't think the world had the highest expectations for either one of us and here we are opening one of the biggest stores in one of the biggest retail units.'
Williams started her business with a £20,000 loan from her grandmother. 'Nana's not here today, she's watching me from a livestream, but without you I wouldn't have a business,' she said.
Queue from 6am
Queues began forming at 6am outside the store. The first 250 customers spending £20 received an exclusive free 'PR box'. Entertainment included a DJ set, dance performance, cakes, free lip-gloss lanyards, and treats like bacon butties and cupcakes.
Julie Sindall and her daughter Petra attended to celebrate Petra's 12th birthday. Julie said: 'They've made it really worthwhile. We saw it on social media and saw it was on her birthday.'
Williams concluded: 'Your starting point doesn't define your finish line. Look at me, a girl that came from nothing. Just know that you can be anything you want in this world because this was not in the stars for me.'
The store will be open daily at Trafford Palazzo, with initial hours from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday.
