Northumberland Inn Wins Second National Award as Best Pub Again
Northumberland Inn Wins Second National Award as Best Pub

A Northumberland pub has achieved a remarkable double, securing its second major award in just over a week. The Kirkstyle Inn and Sportsman's Rest in Slaggyford has been named the best pub in North East England at the National Pub and Bar Awards.

Second Award in Days

This accolade follows the pub's triumph at the VisitEngland National Tourism Awards, where it was crowned the best pub in England. The Kirkstyle Inn has also earned recognition from The Times, being listed among the 100 Best Places to Stay in the UK, and is featured in both the Good Food Guide and the Michelin Guide.

Previous Winners

The title of best pub in the North East was previously held by the Black Swan in Seahouses. Before that, the Crown Inn in Humshaugh had won for two consecutive years, but the beloved community pub closed earlier this year due to rising costs.

National Winner

The overall winner of the National Pub and Bar Awards, named best pub in the UK, was the Gunton Arms in Tattersall, north Norfolk.

The Kirkstyle Inn's back-to-back wins highlight its exceptional quality and service, cementing its reputation as a top destination for locals and visitors alike.
