Marks and Spencer will launch Sephora beauty concessions across 100 stores next year. The cult beauty brand will be available online and in select M&S shops from spring 2027, though the retailer said the locations will be confirmed closer to the launch.
Important step in transformation
Marks and Spencer said this collaboration marked an important step in the ongoing transformation of its fashion, home and beauty offering. Originating in France, Sephora has experienced success after rejoining the UK market in 2022, with queues seen outside stores as shoppers awaited specialist advice on hundreds of beauty brands, including makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance and body care.
Specialist service and product range
A select range of beauty brands will be sold at M&S stores, along with specialist customer service. Online shoppers will get access to a broader range of products, available for home delivery or click and collect at stores across the UK.
John Lyttle, managing director, fashion, home & beauty at M&S, said: “Beauty is an important category for M&S, with the potential to attract new customers to shop with us and give existing customers the opportunity to shop with us more often.”
“Our partnership with Sephora will sit at the heart of our future beauty offer, combining Sephora’s specialist expertise with the strength of the M&S brand, our store estate and our growing digital platform.”
“Alongside this, we will continue investing in our own-label Beauty categories where we have established strength and customer trust.”
Global presence and store experience
Beauty giant Sephora now operates more than 3,000 stores globally, and it has opened 17 shops across the UK since its flagship opening at Westfield London in White City. It features an interactive layout where customers can freely touch, test, and sample a wide variety of cosmetics before buying.
The full M&S brand line-up will be confirmed closer to the spring launch, which may contain selected Sephora exclusives. Brands typically range from mainstream classics and trending K-beauty lines to exclusive celebrity brands like Fenty Beauty.
