Marks & Spencer shoppers are snapping up a £22 pair of trousers that they say are ideal for lounging around the house. The Cotton Rich Pintuck Wide Leg Trousers have been bought more than 100 times in the last five days, making them a popular choice at the retailer.
The trousers come in three colours in sizes six to 24. The bitter chocolate variant is almost fully sold out, while grey marl and navy have most sizes available. They also come in a range of leg lengths, from extra short to short/petite, regular and long.
Ideal for colder weather
The cotton rich fabric makes them ideal for colder weather, and they can be styled with a knitted jumper and comfy shoes to complete the look. The full product description reads: "Made in a cotton rich fabric, these wide leg trousers have pintuck detailing down the front for a tailored finish. The elasticated waist adds a cosy, comfortable feel, and they're designed to pair with the matching top for an easy coordinating look. M&S Collection: easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic and contemporary styles."
Shoppers have given the trousers a 4.3-star rating. One five-star review said: "Such lovely warm trousers but smarter than a jogger. I bought navy and brown, love them." A second said: "Smart casual trousers. Material soft and wash well. Bought in other colours, as difficult to get the right leg length. These were perfect."
Other popular M&S trousers
Also at M&S, the Belted Straight Leg Trousers have received an overall rating of 4.6 out of five from shoppers impressed with the way they fit. They retail for £36 and come in three autumn colours, including ivory, tan (chocolate brown) and black, as well as three leg lengths.
Elsewhere, Roman Straight Leg Side Stripe Trousers are priced at £30 in a stretchy fabric. One shopper who reviewed the alternative said: "These pants are so comfortable on, definitely five stars."
Shopper feedback
One shopper noted on the Cotton Rich Pintuck Wide Leg Trousers: "Ordered my usual size but very big so ordered size smaller which fit fine but could still do with draw cord to tighten as needed. Not sure about fabric much softer and thinner will see if they knee in time."
Another said: "Good product- cosy and easy to wear. Perfect for lounging in the house."
