Marks & Spencer has brought back its popular Colin the Caterpillar Christmas tree decoration, but shoppers will have to pay more for it this year. The Colin the Caterpillar Hanging Tree Decoration is now priced at £8, up from £5 last year.
Price rise and festive range
The decoration has increased in price by £3, marking a 60% rise. Shoppers can also pick up a matching Connie the Caterpillar decoration for £8. The glass Colin decoration is a festive take on one of M&S's best-known brands, making it a fun addition to Christmas trees or a gift for fans of the iconic character.
Colin joins the line-up of other festive favourites including the Glass Custard Creams Tree Decoration, for £6, the "trending" Glass Hanging Cookies Tree Decorations, for £8, and the Extra Cream Bourbon Creams Tree Hanging Decoration, for £6.
Festive recruitment drive
It comes as Marks & Spencer announced it will recruit more than 200 new colleagues to support its Merseyside store teams this festive season. The new colleagues will support store teams during the busiest weeks of the year. The roles are said to be fast-moving and hands-on. Vacancies are available at Liverpool One, Aintree, Southport and St Helens Ravenhead stores, as well as Edge Lane, Formby, Prescot Cables, Queens Drive and Speke New Mersey foodhalls.
Applications are now open, with the first new colleagues joining M&S from Sunday, October 25. The roles will pay £13.41 per hour, with successful applicants receiving the training, tools and support needed to get up to speed quickly.
Store opening plans
