Fashion Influencer Shows How to Get Molly-Mae Matcha Style Adidas Trainers for Half Price

Molly-Mae Hague's collaboration with Adidas, featuring matcha and latte-inspired trainers, sold out quickly, with resale prices soaring. However, a fashion influencer has shared a DIY hack to achieve the same look for almost half the price.

TikTok user Lauren, under the handle @Its_laurensarah, demonstrated how she created her own version of the sought-after Matcha Green Samba. She purchased a pair of Adidas Breaknet Sleek Shoes in green for £55 from Decathlon or £49.50 from M&S, and added baby pink laces from Amazon costing £4.97, bringing the total to as little as £54.45.

Lauren explained: 'The Molly Mae Matcha Sambas sold out almost instantly. Because the resale prices are ridiculous, these will cost you £62 all in. You just take the laces out, thread the pink lace, tie it in a bow. Now you have genuine Adidas, and you don't need to give resellers ridiculous amounts of money.'

Fans praised the hack, with one commenting: 'Gatekeep those breaknet’s, they are so comfy & if Adidas find out we love them they will hike the price up like the sambas.' Another added: 'Schuh sells the breaknet’s btw they’re so much comfier than samba’s.'

The original Molly-Mae x Adidas trainers, priced at £100, included the matcha-green Samba with off-white stripes and a double-laced system, and the latte-themed Superstar II. While some sizes of the Samba remain on the Adidas website, the Superstars are only available in larger sizes.
