Meghan Markle launches spiced apple butter before UK return

Meghan Markle has announced the launch of a new As Ever product, spiced apple butter, in a newsletter sent to customers on Tuesday evening. The announcement comes just days before the Duchess of Sussex is expected to return to the UK.

New As Ever product arriving Wednesday

The new offering, described as arriving “just in time for fall,” will feature orchard apples and spices. The newsletter promises the product will bring “the comforting warmth of the season to every spoonful.” It will be available to purchase on Wednesday.

The newsletter read: “Arriving tomorrow, a new As Ever pantry staple, just in time for fall.” It continued: “There’s something special about the first taste of apple season, with its promise of crisp mornings and changing leaves just around the corner.”

“Our new Spiced Apple Butter captures that feeling in every jar, with orchard apples and fragrant spices bringing the comforting warmth of the season to every spoonful,” the newsletter added.

Plans to move back to the UK

The announcement comes as the duchess prepares to move back to the UK, six years after leaving the country with Prince Harry for a new life in America. The couple’s plans to relocate emerged last week, sending shockwaves around the world.

The couple are expected to return to the UK later this month, making their home in a non-royal residence outside London. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have already been enrolled in British schools.

Security and status questions remain

Decisions about whether taxpayers will fund the couple’s security remain unanswered, as does the exact reason for their relocation. The Sussexes have yet to comment publicly on the move.

The King was informed of the move earlier this month, just three days before it became public. He is understood to welcome the opportunity to see more of the family, both privately and personally. However, the couple’s status will remain unchanged, with no “half-in-half-out” option offered regarding their roles.
