Medicube is a South Korean brand known for targeting specific skin concerns like acne, pores and aging with science-backed formulas. It combines clinical dermatologist-tested skincare with at-home products and has gained popularity on social media.
What the mask promises
The mask promises to plump the skin to create a 'glowing' complexion. It uses a temperature-sensitive hydrogel sheet to deliver 'salmon-derived PDRN', low-molecular weight collagen and peptides directly onto the skin. As the mask absorbs, it visibly transforms from an opaque pink to a transparent colour.
PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a regenerative skincare ingredient derived from salmon DNA that repairs tissue, boosts collagen, and reduces inflammation. It is popular in Korean skincare and is mainly used to increase elasticity, hydration, and tone.
How it felt and the results
When applying the product, the first thing noticed was how cooling and refreshing it felt. According to the product description, the mask is described as a 'low irritating skin barrier' product, offering a 24-hour moisture barrier protection that isn't too invasive.
It was easy to apply, and separated into two parts, one for the top half of the face including the eyes and forehead, and one for the lips and chin. It took about two hours for the mask to turn transparent, so this isn't a quick face mask. The transparency time can differ from person to person, and can sometimes take up to three to four hours to become completely transparent, with some reviewers even sleeping in it.
Although results were not instant, a major glow to the skin was noticed after a week of using these masks. The skin felt softer, firmer, and more refreshed as a whole.
Shopper reviews and fit issues

However, some shoppers did have issues with the fit of the mask. The mask was quite slippy and peeled off around the edges after a while, so it did take some gentle readjusting. One three-star review said: "I really wanted to love these masks since the concept sounded great, but I ran into some problems. The biggest issue was the fit. The mask was way too small for my face. It wouldn't stretch enough to cover the area around my mouth properly, which made application a real struggle every time. I found myself constantly adjusting it and never quite getting it to sit right."
As a whole, the fit of the mask didn't put me off though, because the glowy skin results were so worth it. Since using the mask my skin has looked radiant and refreshed, and I will continue to make these masks a part of my daily beauty routine.
