Manchester United have already spent £80m on new signings this summer but could raise up to £90m through the sale of six players, including Marcus Rashford. Manager Michael Carrick's side have strengthened their midfield with Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, but further additions may depend on outgoings.
United have recouped nearly half of their outlay by selling Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli, while the departures of Jadon Sancho and Casemiro have freed up wages. Carrick, now permanently installed after leading United into the Champions League, may need a deeper squad for European football.
Marcus Rashford - £40m
Rashford's potential exit was complicated after Barcelona triggered a £26m clause in his loan deal but instead turned to Anthony Gordon. United may now command a higher fee on the open market, though finding a suitable buyer remains uncertain. The England forward's wages are high, but he showed his quality at the World Cup. Offloading him could determine whether another left-sided attacker arrives.
Joshua Zirkzee - £30m
Zirkzee arrived from Bologna in 2024 but has not fully delivered. He retains a solid reputation in Italy, with Juventus reportedly interested. The 25-year-old is tied to United until 2029 and could command a reasonable fee. He is willing to stay and compete but is a clear candidate to generate a transfer fee.
Radek Vitek - £10m
Reserve goalkeeper Vitek has expressed a desire to be a starter next season, unlikely at United with Senne Lammens as No.1. He said: 'I feel great and ready to go again somewhere to be, hopefully, number one, so we will see.' The Czech shone on loan at Bristol City and is open to a permanent move or another loan. A sell-on or buy-back clause would be wise.
Altay Bayindir - £5m
The signing of Karl Darlow and a new contract for Tom Heaton signal the end for Bayindir. The Turkish international has been granted an extended holiday ahead of a summer departure, according to The Sun. A move to Besiktas has been mooted for the 28-year-old, who has 12 months left on his contract. United spent just under £5m on him in 2023.
Toby Collyer - £3m
Collyer featured in a handful of Premier League matches in 2024/25 and spent 2025/26 on loan at two Championship clubs, finishing at Hull. Hull may pursue him permanently after promotion via the play-offs. BBC Sport reported in June that United were still deciding on his future. He has 12 months left on his deal with an option for another year.
Tyler Fredricson - £2m
Centre-back Fredricson is edging closer to a summer departure. Transfermarkt values him at just over £2m. Celtic are among the clubs reportedly interested, having shelved a January bid due to injury. He was omitted from the squad for the match against Wrexham, suggesting a move is likely.
