LK Bennett Website to Close with Up to 90% Off Sale After Administration

LK Bennett, the British fashion retailer favoured by the Princess of Wales, is set to close its website within days, launching a clearance sale with discounts of up to 90%. The company entered administration in January, with John Noon and Mark Firmin of Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP appointed as joint administrators.

The brand, founded by Linda Bennett in London in 1990, has announced that customers have only a few days left to shop online. An exclusive sale offers at least 80% off all items, with some products reduced by up to 90%. The company stated: 'It's your final few days to shop the LKB website before it closes. Our biggest offer ever has arrived.'

Following administration, LK Bennett was acquired by US firm Gordon Brothers, but nine standalone stores and 13 concessions were not included in the deal. These outlets continue to trade under administration. Last month, the retailer launched a sale with up to 75% off, and the current discounts are even steeper.

A spokesperson commented: 'There are some truly exceptional offers available across all categories. Everything has been reduced, including new season pieces. We anticipate strong demand and expect key styles to sell through quickly.' The brand, known for its dresses, knitwear, footwear and handbags, has been a favourite of Kate Middleton, who has worn its pieces at royal engagements.
