Jeff Bezos could reportedly invest some of his significant wealth into Liverpool. The Amazon supremo, one of the richest people on the planet, has been approached to join a consortium in talks to buy a stake in the Reds, according to Sky Sports. The group is led by former Queens Park Rangers co-owner Amit Bhatia, the son-in-law of billionaire steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal.
There is no guarantee that Bezos will end up investing in Liverpool, but his wealth could unlock new possibilities in the transfer market. The Merseyside giants are currently in a transitional period following the exit of Mohamed Salah and the appointment of Andoni Iraola as their new manager. As such, they have been tipped to chase a number of big-money deals this summer.
Goalkeeper - Alisson
Even though Alisson is reaching the twilight of his career, he will almost certainly remain Liverpool's first-choice goalkeeper next season. Giorgi Mamardashvili is waiting in the wings to replace him in the near future, but until then, the Brazilian will retain the gloves.
Defence - Livramento, Konsa, Van Dijk, Kerkez
Liverpool have already strengthened their defensive ranks with Jeremy Jacquet, but it's unclear if he will be a ready-made starter for the Reds. As such, they could benefit from signing two elite operators in Tino Livramento and Ezri Konsa, who would go straight into Iraola's preferred back four. Livramento would finally solve Liverpool's right-back conundrum while Konsa would serve as a direct replacement for Ibrahima Konate. Both players are thought to be valued at around £60million by their respective employers.
Midfield - Wharton, Szoboszlai, Wirtz
While central midfield is not an area of serious concern for Liverpool, Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister regularly struggled last season. And with one of the world's richest men potentially in their corner, the Reds could upgrade by launching a £100m swoop for Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton. He would offer a long-term solution in the middle of the park and could slot in alongside Dominik Szoboszlai, with Florian Wirtz playing further forward.
Attack - Barcola, Torres, Isak
Liverpool still need to replace Salah and have been widely tipped to pursue Bradley Barcola's signature, with a move for Yan Diomande no longer considered a strong possibility. Barcola, a genuinely world-class player, is said to be valued at around £127m by PSG and would be an excellent signing for the Merseyside giants. Ferran Torres, who scored the winning goal for Spain in last weekend's World Cup final, is also said to be a potential target for Liverpool. He has been linked with a possible £40m transfer, which would be good value for money given that he is capable of playing across all three forward positions.
