The Silvercrest Glass Air Fryer will cost £49.99 when it arrives in Lidl stores on Sunday August 2. That puts it £100 below the £149.99 price tag of the Ninja Crispi 4-in-1 Portable Glass Air Fryer, which it closely resembles.
Four preset programmes
According to Lidl, the appliance features "heat-resistant glass containers that can be used for cooking and storage without needing to transfer food to another container." It also offers four preset programmes: air fry, roast, re-fry and keep warm, positioning it as a practical alternative to a traditional oven.
Previous budget hit
The launch follows Lidl's earlier success with a budget alternative to the Ninja Creami, which was £130 cheaper than the original.
As with other middle aisle finds, the air fryer is available on a "when it's gone, it's gone" basis, and popular items often sell out on the first day of release. This Sunday's range also includes other appliances and cookware beyond the glass air fryer.
