Lidl shoppers can cut winter energy bills and dry clothes faster indoors with the supermarket's new TRONIC Dehumidifier, arriving in stores today (Sunday, September 27) for £79.99.

The device offers two preset programmes - one for dehumidifying and another specifically for drying laundry - and can remove up to 10 litres of moisture from the air over 24 hours. It comes with a removable 2.1-litre water tank featuring a viewing window and warning signals.
The unit includes castors and a foldable handle for easy movement around the home. Stock is expected to be limited, so shoppers should arrive early on Sunday, September 27.
Martin Lewis's Endorsement
Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has previously endorsed dehumidifiers as a smart alternative to tumble dryers. He said: "Many dehumidifiers have different wattages - the one I checked out was 200W. Once we know it's 200W and we know that a kilowatt is 1,000W, which is how electricity is typically priced, we know this is a fifth of a kilowatt."
Lewis labelled tumble dryers as 'demon appliances' for energy consumption, suggesting they could cost up to £1 per hour to run in winter. The dehumidifier package includes a drainage hose, garden hose adaptor, and washable filter.
