Lidl is releasing a cordless table lamp in its middle aisle on Sunday, August 30, priced at £8.99 for regular shoppers and £6.99 for those with the Lidl Plus app, undercutting a similar Dunelm model that costs £15.
Mushroom-style design trend
The Livarno Cordless Table Lamp features a retro 'mushroom-style' design, a popular home interior trend this year. It rivals bigger-name brands, including Dunelm's Milo Mushroom Rechargeable Touch Dimmable LED Table Lamp, which has been described as "sleek" and "modern".
While the lamps look virtually identical, they differ in colour options. Lidl's version comes in black and white, while Dunelm offers five colours, including black, pink and sage green.
Features and battery life
The lamp provides "gentle, glare-free lighting" with a warm white glow, suitable for hallways, bedrooms, or living rooms. It is powered by an integrated 3.7V Li-Ion battery and can be charged via a USB-C port.
A touch-function button adjusts brightness levels. On a full charge, it offers 12 hours of illumination at the lowest setting. The base has a furniture-friendly backing to prevent scratches, and the lamp has an IP44 splashproof casing for outdoor use.
Availability and warranty
The lamp comes with a three-year warranty. The £2 discount for Lidl Plus members runs from August 30 to September 5. Asda also offers a similar Pink Rechargeable Dome Table Lamp for £8 in its George homeware section.
