Lidl has launched a Neck & Shoulder Heating Pad priced at £17.99, which costs roughly 2.63p an hour to run under the current energy price cap, offering households a budget-friendly alternative to central heating as bills rise.
The device is available in all Lidl branches and is made from 100 per cent polyester with a soft, padded design. It sits around the neck and features an adjustable toggle with six different heat settings. Operating at just 100W, it would cost approximately 2.63p hourly to run continuously under the present price cap.
Lidl Plus discount and safety features
Lidl Plus members can secure a 10 per cent discount, reducing the price to £16.19. For safety purposes, the pad should not remain switched on indefinitely, and Lidl has incorporated an automatic shut-off feature after 90 minutes.
The product is exclusively for in-store collection, meaning home delivery is not available. Shoppers can verify availability at their nearest Lidl through the online store locator.
Additional heating products at Lidl
Lidl also offers a Heated Underblanket priced at £19.99, or £17.99 for Lidl Plus members. It is said to have a "quick heat-up time" and can be switched on and off once plugged into an outlet. It features six different heat settings plus an all-night mode to aid sleep.
