Lidl's £19.99 Cabin Bag Fits Ryanair, BA and Jet2

Lidl is set to release a new cabin bag for under £20 that meets the hand luggage requirements of several major airlines, including Ryanair, British Airways, Jet2, and TUI. The Esmara Cabin Case, priced at £19.99, will hit stores nationwide on Sunday, July 19.

Bag Specifications and Compliance

The cabin bag weighs just 2.65kg and has a maximum weight capacity of 10kg. Its dimensions are 54x39.5x20cm, which the discounter says complies with carry-on luggage regulations for most airlines. For Ryanair, it fits in overhead lockers and can be taken as a 'Priority & 2 Cabin Bags' option, available for a small fee starting from £6.

For TUI, Jet2, and British Airways, the bag is smaller than the required dimensions for overhead lockers, meaning no extra charge applies.

Interior and Durability

The Esmara Cabin Case boasts a spacious 30-litre capacity, suitable for weekend breaks or extra luggage. Inside, it features a zipped compartment and crossover straps to keep items organised. The bag is made from a shock-absorbing plastic shell, designed to withstand bumps and bashes. It includes a four-position telescopic handle with a lock button and twin 360-degree spinner wheels for easy manoeuvrability.

A three-year warranty covers any damages or faults, and a built-in combination lock adds security during transit.

Additional Suitcase Option

Alongside the cabin bag, Lidl will also offer the larger Esmara Trolley Suitcase for £29.99. Measuring 77x51x29cm and weighing 4.2kg, it has an 86-litre capacity, ideal for longer trips. It features similar durable construction, spinner wheels, a retractable handle, and a combination lock.

Other Middle Aisle Deals

Lidl is also introducing the Silvercrest Premium Freezy Ice Cream Maker, priced at £69.99, as a cheaper alternative to the Ninja Creami (which retails up to £250). The 800W device can make ice cream, sorbets, milkshakes, and smoothies in minutes, and comes with a recipe booklet. It will be available in the middle aisle from Thursday, July 16.
