Lidl's SENSIPLAST Heated Electric Cushion will be available in all 1,000 UK stores from Thursday, October 1, priced at £17.99 – or £16.19 for Lidl Plus members. The cushion is designed to provide affordable warmth as the Ofgem energy price cap is introduced.
Six heat settings and quick heating
The cushion features six temperature settings, a quick heating function, and automatic switch-off after 90 minutes. It is made from "soft, fluffy material of 100 per cent polyester" and can be used like a hot water bottle – switched on and held close to help banish the shivers.
Other features include electronic temperature control, a red LED light indicating the device is switched on, a detachable control unit, and a machine-washable cover at 30°C. Power consumption is 100W, with dimensions L40 x W30cm, voltage 220–240V/50–60Hz, cable length 2.8m, and a 3-year warranty.
Back and neck heat pad also released
On the same day, Lidl will release the SENSIPLAST Back & Neck Heat Pad, priced at £14.99 (£13.49 for Lidl Plus members). The grey padded device fastens around the neck and across the back, heating up quickly.
Lidl described it as offering "soothing warmth for your back and neck with 6 heat settings," plus an adjustable abdominal strap and soft hook & loop fastener at the neck. It is machine washable at 30°C, has electronic temperature control with a safety system, automatic switch-off after 90 minutes, 100W power consumption, size 62 x 41cm, a 2.8m power cable, and a 3-year warranty.
The heated cushion is only available for in-store collection, not delivery. Customers can check stock availability at their nearest branch via the online branch locator by entering their postcode.
