Lidl has added a 5L Storage Box With Lid to its Middle Aisle, priced at £1.49, offering a budget option for home organisation. The supermarket, which operates roughly 1,000 stores across the UK, says the box boasts a high load capacity.
Product features and availability
The box provides dust-protected storage and can be combined with other boxes in the same series. It has a volume of 5 litres, a maximum load capacity of 5kg, and measures L29 x W20 x H18cm. The translucent design allows contents to be seen easily.
The storage box is only available for in-store collection, not home delivery. Shoppers can check stock levels using the online store finder by entering their postcode to find which nearby branch has the item.
Comparison with B&Q and IKEA alternatives
Lidl's offering is positioned as a budget alternative to similar products elsewhere. B&Q sells an 11L Stackable Storage Box with Lid for £3, which is more than double the price of Lidl's box. The B&Q product has a larger capacity and features integrated handles, a clip-lock lid, and a stackable, nestable design, backed by a 2-year guarantee.
