Lidl is selling a 'high-quality' rug that arguably resembles a pricier design from Dunelm. Shoppers visiting the supermarket can get the 'living room' rug for £12.99 if they're fast enough.
Customers using the Lidl Plus app can get £2 off the White Deep Pile Rug until Wednesday, August 26. Otherwise, it usually costs £14.99, but even at full price, the rug is less than Dunelm's £117 Mesmerise Abstract Wool Rug, another neutral-coloured rug with an eye-catching loop design likely to impress homeware fans.
Affordable alternative to Dunelm
As such, shoppers might consider the Lidl rug as a tempting alternative to Dunelm's design. Not everyone will favour the more affordable option, though. Some customers may prefer Dunelm's wool version, which is larger.
Lidl's rug measures 80 cm x 150 cm. The product description says: "Perfect for your living room, bedroom or dining room. High quality with bound edge. With a high-quality textured design. Slip-resistant rubber backing."
Dunelm's wool version
Dunelm's rug measures 120 cm x 170 cm. There are also two larger options available for higher prices. The product description says: "The Mesmerise Abstract Wool Rug blends handcrafted 100% wool with a simple, easy to style design that will last throughout the seasons.

More choices for shoppers
The good news for shoppers is that there are plenty more choices if they wish to look at other designs. For example, Lidl fans might prefer the Grey Deep Pile Rug. It's also currently marked down for £12.99 for Lidl Plus app users. Once more, Lidl says the homeware is 'perfect for your living room.'
Elsewhere, Dunelm sells the grey Marlo Rug, from £29. The product description says: "Introducing the Marlo rug, the ideal option for injecting some comfort underfoot. The super soft 100% polypropylene pile is made to give on-the-go homes that foot-sinking feeling. We love using the Marlo rug to create a cosy feel in living rooms and bedrooms."
