Lidl shoppers race to try 'phenomenal' new Milkybar Muffin

Lidl shoppers are rushing to try a new bakery item that has been branded 'phenomenal' and 'unreal' online. The Milkybar Muffin, priced at £1.49, hit shelves in Lidl's bakery on October 1 and has already sparked a flurry of posts on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

What's inside the muffin?

The product features a white chocolate-flavoured filling inside a 'moist' sponge muffin, topped with a Milkybar button. Fans have described it as 'phenomenal', 'lush', 'unreal', and 'dangerous' in online reviews.

One review by Amy Macnaughton read: "This Milkybar Muffin from Lidl is phenomenal. It's got Milkybar cream inside too!" Katie Richardson commented: "Can confirm these are banging." Amy Higham urged people to try one ASAP, posting: "You need to run."

Mixed reactions on TikTok

On TikTok, @nicolawalker50 shared: "Got one earlier. Was class. Lidl bakery is elite." However, @callietake2 had a mixed reaction, describing the muffin as 'unbelievable' but wishing there was more of the 'gooey' filling inside, as hers was pretty empty. Others reported similar 'disappointing' experiences, though @ibelieveinghosts00 claimed theirs was 'loaded', suggesting it depends on the batch.

It has not been confirmed how long the muffin will be available at Lidl, but limited-edition items are usually only around for a few weeks or while supplies last.
