Shoppers are rushing to buy a sweet treat from Lidl that they claim tastes “much better” than the original McVitie's version. The product in question is the supermarket's Tower Gate Orange Jaffa Cakes, which have been praised by customers on social media.
The discussion began on Reddit, where a user asked which own-brand items Lidl does as well as or better than the originals. The poster mentioned that Lidl's jam tasted as good as Hartley's and that its caramelised biscuits matched Biscoff, sparking a wave of responses.
Shoppers Praise Lidl's Jaffa Cakes
Many commenters quickly singled out the Jaffa Cakes as a standout product. One person wrote: “If you like the M&S Jaffa Cakes, Lidl ones are very similar. Well actually, they're very similar whether you like them or not.” Another added: “I agree with this. I LOVE Lidl's Jaffa Cakes!”
