Lidl is releasing a festive-themed storage basket for £4.99 across all its 1,000+ stores from Wednesday, November 15, while stocks last. The LIVARNO Storage Basket will appear in the supermarket's middle aisle, offering shoppers a budget-friendly way to organise their homes during the Christmas season.
Shoppers can choose between three designs: Santa, Snowman, or Rudolph. Each unit measures 26 x 19cm, making it compact enough for a living room, bedroom corner, or kitchen. The basket has a maximum load of 0.5kg.
Product details and availability
The LIVARNO Storage Basket comes in Santa Claus (Ø26 x H19cm), Reindeer (Ø26 x H19cm without antlers), and Snowman (Ø26 x H19cm without hat) designs. The product is only available for in-store collection, so shoppers are advised to check stock levels at their local Lidl using the online store finder by entering their postcode.
For more information, shoppers can visit the Lidl website to browse the supermarket's full catalogue, which includes home accessories, garden furniture, clothing, and groceries.
Comparison with B&Q offering
The Lidl basket is positioned as a budget alternative to the Christmas Showman Woven Cotton Rope Storage Basket at B&Q, which costs £10.90 for a set of two, down from £12. The B&Q product description reads: "Add festive charm and practical storage to your home with this two-piece set of Christmas-themed woven baskets. Inspired by the classic snowman silhouette, the top basket features a black felt hat brim, an orange carrot nose and a cheerful smile."
B&Q offers home delivery, with complimentary delivery on standard orders exceeding £100 (otherwise £6) and free delivery on large or bulk orders above £500 (otherwise £15). Deliveries require an adult signature and are deposited at the external ground floor of the property, with some international areas and offshore islands excluded.
