Lidl is set to release a new cordless table lamp on Sunday, August 30, priced at £6.99 for Lidl Plus members and £8.99 for regular shoppers. The Black Cordless LED Table Lamp from Lidl's Livarno range is part of the supermarket's Special Buy offers, which launch every Thursday and Sunday.
Lamp features and design
The lamp offers gentle, glare-free lighting with warm white light, a touch function for switching on and off and adjusting brightness, and a main button on the base. It includes a USB port with a flexible protective cap and a furniture-friendly backing. The splashproof casing makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The lamp comes with a USB-C charging cable and instructions, and its LED bulb gives off a warm white light. The battery can last up to 12 hours. Lidl is also selling the same lamp in a cream and brown option.
Comparison with B&Q's lamp
The £7 Lidl lamp could serve as a budget-friendly alternative to B&Q's Briloner Battery Powered Black Dimmable Table Lamp, which costs £18.95. Both lamps come in black, share a mushroom-shaped design, and are cordless. The B&Q lamp is an online-only product, so customers can get it delivered straight to their home. Lidl is also launching a SilentNight Grey Snugsie Wearable Blanket for £11.99.
