Lidl £5.99 Travel Cup Rivals £50 Stanley Tumbler

Lidl shoppers can buy a 1.2-litre Stainless Steel Insulated Mug for £5.99 (or £4.99 with Lidl Plus) from Thursday, August 27, matching the look of the £50 Stanley Quencher H2.0 FlowState Tumbler at a fraction of the price.

The cup, available in silver, black and yellow, features double-walled insulation to "keep drinks hot or cold... at home and on the move", according to the supermarket's online description. Lidl claims it will "fit in all standard car cup holders", making it practical for commutes to the office, university, college or daily life.

Design and Features

The mug comes with a "practical handle and reusable drinking straw" and is "suitable for dishwashers". It shares similarities with the Stanley Cup, which is sold in similar size and colour options but costs £50 excluding online shipping.

Buying the Lidl version saves shoppers £44-£45 if they register for a free Lidl Plus account online, provided they have not already done so.

Availability and Other Deals

The cups are part of Lidl's weekly Middle of Lidl refresh on Thursday, August 27, which will feature 'Back to Uni Kitchen' goods. Alongside the Insulated Mugs, shoppers can find cordless hoovers, air fryers, toasters, microwaves, blenders, and more. Other homeware deals include the Minky 12m Heated Airer at £39.99 and laundry hampers from £2.99.

Items are restocked every Thursday and Sunday, with online previews available a week in advance. Shoppers can check stock levels for Middle Aisle items that arrived within the past 14 days by using Lidl's AI bot on the Customer Service Portal. The bot cannot check standard grocery items or products older than two weeks.

For older items, customers must visit their local store or check current leaflets. Once an item sells out at Lidl, it is rarely restocked, so shoppers are encouraged to act quickly. It can be worth checking nearby stores if the local supermarket lacks the item or a specific popular style, and asking Lidl staff before leaving empty-handed.
