Lidl £14.99 puffer jacket rivals H&M and Frasers styles

Lidl is set to launch the ESMARA Men's Puffer Jacket at £14.99 across more than 1,000 UK stores on Sunday, November 15, offering a budget-friendly alternative to similar styles from H&M and Frasers.

Shoppers with a Lidl Plus account can buy the jacket for £11.99, saving £3. The jacket comes in three colour options: Mid Brown, Black and Brown. It features a water-repellent main material, a high collar, elasticated cuffs, front pockets and an inner pocket with press stud fastening. The relaxed fit is available in sizes M to XXL, and the material is 100% polyester.

Design and availability

The quilted, padded design traps body heat while providing a barrier against cold air, making it a popular choice for staying warm without a bulky coat. The jacket will only be sold in store, not online. Lidl advises shoppers to use its online store finder to check availability on launch day and afterwards.

Lidl's offering is priced significantly lower than comparable jackets. H&M sells its Water-Repellent Puffer Jacket for £54.99, while Frasers stocks the Mens Padded Puffer Jacket With Zip Pockets for £18, reduced from £57.99. Aesthetically, the Lidl jacket is difficult to tell apart from these pricier versions.

Shopping costs and customer feedback

H&M charges a standard home delivery fee of £3.99, but loyalty scheme members get free standard shipping on orders of £40 or more. Click-and-collect from a local branch is free, though customers have only seven days to collect their parcel before it is returned to the warehouse.

Frasers charges a £4.99 standard home delivery fee with no free delivery threshold. Click-and-collect also costs £4.99, but orders over £200 receive a £10 voucher to spend in store.

Previous buyers of the H&M jacket have shared positive feedback. One said: "Bought this for my 14-year-old son and he loves it! Says the fit is perfect and it is nice and warm." Another added: "Nice, very big though!"
