A shopper has sparked envy online after snapping up Le Creuset items for a fraction of their usual price. The bargain haul, shared on Reddit, included mugs, plates and a casserole dish for less than £50 in total.
Charity shop find
In a post on the Le Creuset forum, the shopper wrote: "Just started collecting and found these for a STEAL!" The photo showed Vancouver mugs and plates alongside a casserole dish.
They explained: "I just started collecting and found these Vancouver mugs at Homegoods for $5 (£3.60) each! I believe this is an incredibly good deal and I feel pretty lucky. I also got Vancouver plates for $10 (£7.30) each and a casserole dish for $45 (£33)."

What would it have cost new?
Buying the same items brand new on the official website would have cost considerably more. A stoneware mug retails for about £18 each, while the 12-piece dinnerware set can cost around £300.
Casserole dishes vary widely in price depending on size and shape. A round cast iron dish is worth between £229 and £435, while an oval casserole dish, one of the top sellers, can cost up to £609.
Pre-owned Le Creuset items can be found at local charity shops or via Amazon, though bagging a bargain largely comes down to luck. The fact that the shopper picked up several pieces for less than £50 is quite the result.
