Lady Eliza Spencer, niece to Princess Diana and cousin to Prince Harry and Prince William, has launched her own brand of rosé wine, Lala V, at a glitzy event at luxury drinks retailer Hackstons in Knightsbridge. The launch comes as she prepares for her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Channing Millerd, with the wine set to be served at their wedding.
Wedding preparations not yet started
At the launch event, Lady Eliza revealed that the couple have not yet begun their wedding preparations, saying: “One day, when we finally start planning our wedding… we will be enjoying Lala V.” The admission was met with laughter from the gathered crowd, and Lady Eliza appeared to join in the amusement.
She declined to answer whether Prince Harry and Prince William would attend the wedding, but expressed excitement that her cousin has returned to the UK.
Engagement and brand story
Eliza and Channing announced their engagement in July 2025 after nine years together, with Channing proposing while in Greece. She hosted a luxe engagement party in December last year, attended by 50 of the couple’s closest friends and family.
Speaking about her fiancé, Eliza said: “I genuinely couldn’t have done it without Channing. We created Lala V together and our strengths really complement each other. Channing has an incredible creative eye and designed everything from the bottle and logo to the website and visual identity. He’s also very good at keeping me calm when I start worrying about every little detail!”
Wine details and personal meaning
Lala V is a Côtes de Provence rosé with ripe peach aromas and subtle notes of citrus. The name comes from Eliza’s childhood nickname, as she explained: “My brother Samuel couldn’t pronounce Eliza when we were little, so he called me ‘Lala’, and it became a family nickname that has stayed with me ever since. The ‘V’ is for Victoria, my middle name and also my mother’s name, but it also represents vie, meaning ‘life’ in French, which feels so fitting for everything Lala V is about - enjoying life and celebrating beautiful moments.”
Eliza added: “We absolutely cannot wait to have Lala V at our wedding and share it with all of our closest family and friends. It’s such a special part of our story together, so having it there to celebrate with everyone we love will mean so much to us.”
