Jessica Alba has stepped down as chief creative officer of The Honest Company, the baby products and personal care business she co-founded in 2012. She announced the news on Instagram on Tuesday, stating that the decision was difficult but that the company has a strong leadership team in place under CEO Carla Vernón.
In her post, Alba described building Honest as a 'true labour of love' and thanked former and current team members for their commitment. She also expressed gratitude to customers for sharing their stories, saying, 'You are the reason we exist.'
The Honest Company confirmed that Alba will shift her creative energy to new endeavours while continuing to serve on the board of directors, providing support and leadership.
