Home Bargains is selling the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey EDT Spray (50ml) for £27.99, making it the cheapest current price for the designer fragrance, which retails between £72 and £80 elsewhere.
The deal undercuts rival retailers on the high street. Boots and Superdrug both list the same size bottle at £64, making Home Bargains' offer over £36 cheaper, while The Perfume Shop still stocks it at the full £80 price tag.
Fragrance details and history
Created by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier for Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake, the scent has been described as both "timeless" and "distinctive." Launched in 1992, its name translates to "the water of Issey" in French.
The fragrance opens on a floral duo of rose and lotus, before delving into a bouquet of lilies and fresh flowers, ending on a base of precious woods. It was the first aquatic-floral fragrance for women, making it a revolutionary scent for its time.
It is housed in an elegant bottle with a tall, cylindrical shape, said to "go beyond time and fashion," representing a night when Issey Miyake saw the Eiffel Tower in Paris lit up by the moon.
Shopper reviews and other deals
While the Home Bargains website does not provide official reviews, the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey EDT has a 4.7 rating on the Boots website, where it has been hailed as a "classic" that "gets so many compliments."
One glowing review read: "A classic fragrance. I love this perfume. It was first bought for me as a present a number of years ago and it instantly became my favourite perfume. It lasts all day without being too overpowering. I get so many compliments when wearing this perfume."
A second long-time fan wrote: "This is my all time favourite perfume. I do wear a number of different perfumes but this is by far the one I would always choose first."
