Shoppers can now get the 2026 iPad Air with Apple's M4 chip for £19.80 a month on Sky Mobile, working out to 66p a day on a 48-month contract, ahead of the retailer's Black Friday event.
The 11-inch, 128GB model, priced from £749 outright, comes with a £12 upfront fee. Sky's per-day cost is based on an average 30-day month. In comparison, Apple's own monthly price is £62.41, split across a 12-month period, which equals £2.08 a day.
Shorter contract options and data plan discounts
Sky also offers a 36-month option at £27 a month, again with a £12 upfront fee, which works out to 90p a day on a 30-day average month. The model is WiFi + Cellular, allowing users to switch between internet and mobile data, though a separate data plan is required at an additional cost.
In Sky's early Black Friday offer on device plans, the 1GB-a-month data plan is cut from £8 monthly to £1. A 25GB allowance is now £10 per month, down from £17, and unlimited data is now £21 a month, reduced from £28.
User feedback on the M4 iPad Air
One iPad Air M4 user who bought the model outright at Amazon described it as "very fast and responsive," purchasing it as a great replacement for an older iPad. They praised its "great battery life" and "fantastic picture quality from the screen," but noted that the Touch ID sensor on the power switch "doesn't always work correctly if you use a protective case."
Another user said: "The display is wonderful, the performance is super fast, and the battery charges quickly. It has amazing connectivity and is very easy and smooth to use, whether you're using the pencil pro or not."
Broader Black Friday tech landscape
Sky has launched a countdown for its Black Friday deals, starting on Thursday, November 5, expected to run across TV, broadband, combo, sport and mobile packages, although nothing has been confirmed yet. A 'Black Friday' homepage highlights its Full Fibre 500 Mbps plan.
Samsung's 'Samsung Week' offers include the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra cut by £100 with a code at checkout. Argos has reduced the Honor Pad X7 to £119, a less powerful option with a smaller 8.7-inch screen running only on WiFi. Currys is promoting "Black Friday just got bigger" with 40% price cuts across home tech, including the ASUS Vivobook dropping from £1,199 to £849.
