Ikea has introduced a new discount for education and healthcare workers across the UK, offering 6% off in stores. The discount is available through partnerships with savings platforms Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts.
Previously, members could access a 4% saving on the Ikea website, but the new boosted offer also applies in stores. Shoppers need to sign into the relevant app, then scan their code at the checkout, to get the discount.
Jen Haslam, Chief Revenue Officer at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, said: “We’re incredibly proud to bring this Ikea discount to our members. Teachers and healthcare workers play a vital role in society, and it’s important that their dedication is recognised in tangible ways. Extending the saving to in-store purchases, alongside online, means members have more choice and flexibility to benefit from everyday savings.”
Nikos Koskinas, Retail Partnerships Manager at Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts, added: “Ikea is a brand our members know and love, so offering this exclusive saving both online and in store is a fantastic addition. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to securing strong, relevant deals that truly support education and healthcare professionals across the UK.”
The announcement comes after Ikea introduced a £2 click and collect fee for non-Ikea Family members from September 2025. However, members of its free loyalty scheme can still use this service for free. Click and collect fees range from £2 to £5 depending on the location and spend threshold.
