Iceland launches Rapid Online Delivery from October 5

Iceland has announced the launch of its new Rapid Online Delivery service, available from next week. The supermarket chain, which comprises 1,000 Iceland and sister Food Warehouse stores across the UK, says its same-day rapid delivery will initially be available in 17 London stores from October 5.

Rollout schedule and expansion

Iceland said it will begin a wider rollout in the capital on Monday, October 19, followed by further expansion expected from October 26 into cities including Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool, with the brand aiming to include more than 200 stores before Christmas.

The retailer's product range will be available via online or via the Iceland app.

Delivery speed and launch offer

Deliveries can arrive within 30 minutes of an order being placed, according to the outlet. Iceland says it is offering free delivery for all orders for four weeks to kick off the launch.

An Iceland spokesperson said: "We understand that food plans can change at the drop of a hat.

"Whether it’s forgotten essentials for dinner, snacks for the kids packed lunches, or a craving you have to satisfy, shoppers can order with confidence knowing they can get what they need delivered at speed.

"That's why we've launched our Rapid Online Delivery service, offering customers delivery within an hour."

Ordering and store details

Free next-day deliveries are available for shoppers who spend £40 online.

Food Warehouse stores are large-format stores with a car park more like a wholesale store, with online Iceland orders supplied by a combination of its 800 or so main brand branches and its 200-odd Food Warehouses.

More information about booking an order is available on the brand's website.
