Supermarket chain Iceland and its sister brand The Food Warehouse have introduced a rapid delivery service across Merseyside, bringing essentials and frozen favourites to customers' doors in as little as 30 minutes.
The service went live this week and covers all city-centre branches as well as locations around Sefton Park, Aintree and Wallasey. Customers can order through the Iceland website or mobile app to receive on-demand drop-offs of both fresh staples and the supermarket's trademark frozen ranges.
To mark the launch, the retailer is waiving its delivery fee on qualifying orders through November 16.
Delivery details and minimum spend
Orders carry a minimum spend of £15, with free delivery applied to baskets over £25 during the promotional window (normally priced at £2.50). While drop-offs can arrive in as little as half an hour, the retailer guarantees delivery within 60 minutes from order acceptance, subject to local store stock and postcode boundaries.
An Iceland spokesperson said: "We understand that food plans can change at the drop of a hat. Whether it's forgotten essentials for dinner, snacks for the kids packed lunches, or a craving you have to satisfy, shoppers can order with confidence knowing they can get what they need delivered speedily on the same day."
"That's why we've launched our Rapid Online Delivery service, offering customers delivery in as little as 30 mins."
Participating locations and festive range
Participating Iceland locations include Aintree, Bebington, Hunts Cross, Litherland, Liverpool Central, Sefton Park, Stonedale, Stoneycroft, Wallasey (Iceland & The Food Warehouse) and Walton (Iceland & The Food Warehouse).
The Liverpool rollout comes as UK grocers face intensified competition to capture convenience spending, with shoppers increasingly relying on quick online delivery services over traditional weekly supermarket runs.
In other news for the retailer, Iceland has given shoppers a first look at its 2026 festive food range. Hitting stores and online ordering on November 6, the range is said to focus heavily on value, budget-friendly party food and convenient festive bundles designed to help households manage seasonal costs.
Among the range are four complete Christmas Dinner in a Box options priced at £30 and designed to feed a family of four. Expanding on previous years, customers can now choose between four main meal options: turkey, beef, chicken and gammon. Iceland shoppers will also find seafood, vegetarian mains, side dishes and desserts.
