A journalist has claimed that a bag of frozen chips from Iceland, costing just £2.50, tastes even better than KFC. The Aunt Bessie's Skin On Homestyle Chips were discovered during a challenge to feed a family on a £20 budget.
The chips, part of Iceland's 15 items for £15 deal, were cooked in an air fryer for 20 minutes. The journalist noted that they left no fat at the bottom of the basket and had a crispy texture with a subtle paprika and turmeric seasoning.
Online reviews echo the praise, with one customer saying they were 'the best chips I've tasted in a long time' and another declaring them better than McDonald's. However, the journalist disagreed with the claim that they are 'every bit as good as homemade'.
