Huge Fire at Tyre Yard Near Doncaster Treated as Suspected Arson

A massive fire at a tyre yard near Ranskill, close to Doncaster, is being treated as suspected arson by police. The blaze, which broke out shortly after 10:20am on Friday, has sent thick black smoke billowing across the area, prompting warnings from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Around 1,000 tyres and scrap vehicles are ablaze, with firefighters expected to remain at the scene throughout the weekend. Ten fire appliances, including an aerial ladder platform, have been deployed to tackle the inferno.

The fire service has urged residents to avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed due to the large smoke plume. A video posted on TikTok by a user showed the dense clouds of smoke rising into the air.
