Shoppers can still save £30 on Hotel Chocolat's popular velvetiser hot chocolate maker, even after Black Friday. The latest version, released in September, is currently available at a reduced price through the brand's VIP.ME membership programme and select retailers.
Hotel Chocolat is offering the velvetiser for £119.95 to both new and existing VIP.ME members, down from the full price. The membership is free to join and also includes a 15 per cent welcome discount and 20 per cent off drinks in-store. Alternatively, Amazon is offering the same £30 discount without requiring membership.
Reviewers have praised the device. Mollie Davies, who tested the new velvetiser, said: 'Without fail, each time I’ve used the all-new velvetiser, it’s delivered perfect drinking chocolate.' She added that while it is an expensive item, hot chocolate enthusiasts will not regret the purchase.
For those who already own a velvetiser, Amazon has reduced Hotel Chocolat's classic milk chocolate flakes by 10 per cent. Appliance expert Rosie Conroy noted the flakes produce 'rich-tasting results' in her review of the original model.
An additional saving method involves signing up for the brand's 'drinking chocolate' subscription. This reduces the velvetiser price to £109, saving £40. The subscription runs for six or 12 months, with two boxes of ten single-serve sachets delivered monthly.
