HMV is reopening a store in Chelmsford at the Meadows Shopping Centre on Friday, June 26, 2026, marking the brand's return to the city after its previous store closed in 2024. The new 3,930 square foot unit will stock over 20,000 products, including more than 3,000 vinyl albums and 5,500 films and TV shows on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
Grand Opening and Exclusive Offers
The first 25 customers to make a purchase at the grand opening will receive an exclusive goodie bag filled with pop culture merchandise. The store also offers an extensive range of collectables from franchises such as Star Wars, KPop Demon Hunters, and Funko POP.

Store Hours and Services
The store will be open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm, Saturday from 9am to 6pm, and Sunday from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Customers can also use the 'hmv delivers' service to order items not in stock for home delivery.
