Harry Potter fans can secure the LEGO Harry Potter Hedwig at 4 Privet Drive Toy Owl Set for £2.10 instead of £18, thanks to a TopCashback offer for new customers. The deal arrives weeks before the new Harry Potter TV show launches.
Argos currently lists the set at £18. Those new to TopCashback who are also new Argos customers can pay £2.10 after cashback is applied. Existing Argos customers who are new to TopCashback can get the set for £2.93 instead.
What the LEGO Hedwig set includes
The set features a posable Hedwig figure, a buildable trunk with a portrait of Harry Potter, a History of Magic book, and a wand in its case. It contains 337 pieces, making it a simpler build for beginners than many of LEGO's more complex sets.
For those seeking alternative Harry Potter merchandise, the Clementoni-Harry Potter Terrarium Kit has been reduced on Amazon from £13.99 to £11.25. The set allows fans to build a magical greenhouse inspired by Hagrid's Hut. Alternatively, the Lexibook Harry Potter Electronic Chess Game is available for £119.99, featuring figures and lights.
Shopper reviews of the LEGO set
The LEGO Harry Potter Hedwig Set has received a 4.7-star rating on Argos. One customer wrote: "My daughter loves anything to do with Harry Potter stories. We love the variety of sets in this genre for her to display in her very themed room."
Another reviewer commented: "Cool Harry Potter owl, my son enjoyed building this, would definitely recommend to any Harry Potter Lego fans, we had this a while ago and unfortunately he's not a Harry Potter fan anymore but he was really happy with it."
A third said: "Great just what grandson wanted for his birthday. He'd already had a bike so was just a small gift to open." A fourth added: "This was the perfect present for my Harry Potter-loving 6-year-old. Not too complicated for him to complete on his own and a good size."
However, one dissatisfied customer wrote: "Awful set the back of Hedwig is not fixed properly causing it to break very easily. The hinges on the back don't fit securely. So the back piece doesn't fit on and keeps falling off. I have checked the instructions many times and I have massive lego sets. Very disappointed."
Another reviewer noted: "This was built by my daughter, took just over an hour, recently into Harry Potter so she was very happy, it looks good and has nice little additions to have the links to the franchise like the chest with a book, a picture and of course a wand." They added: "I think the owl could have had a few more feather look stickers and unless you get it just right it doesn't like staying on the sign, a little nudge will topple it but other than that it's all positives, you can position the wings and head how you'd like as they're movable so can easily add next to another set to create a scene."
