Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton got his British Grand Prix weekend off to a flying start by securing pole position for Saturday's sprint race. The achievement marks a further sign of Hamilton's revival on the track, following a challenging spell since his switch from Mercedes to Ferrari in 2025.
The British driver, who holds the record for the most victories at Silverstone with nine wins, edged out championship leader and Silver Arrows star Kimi Antonelli by just 0.011 seconds.
While Ferrari endured a difficult outing in Austria last week, Hamilton had claimed his maiden victory for the Prancing Horse in Barcelona the race prior, and has also recorded a second-place finish in both Canada and Monaco this season.
Hamilton's Net Worth and Business Empire
Hamilton has climbed the Sunday Times Rich List, placing 294th in 2026. This is up from 324th the previous year, on the back of an estimated net worth of £435 million.
He is reported to pocket up to £50 million annually under his current deal with Ferrari. The 41-year-old has also landed lucrative endorsement agreements with the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Puma, Sony, Dior, IWC and Lululemon, which are anticipated to contribute a further £22 million to his yearly income.
Hamilton boasts an extensive business portfolio, which includes his own film production company, Dawn Apollo Films, responsible for producing the F1 movie starring Brad Pitt. The racing driver also holds a part-ownership stake in NFL franchise the Denver Broncos, and co-founded Almave, a non-alcoholic tequila brand.
Kim Kardashian herself is worth around £1.4 billion, according to Forbes, giving the two combined a net worth of around £1.8 billion.
Planned Name Change to Honor Mother
Hamilton has expressed his desire to alter his name as a tribute to his mother, with plans to legally incorporate her maiden name alongside his middle name.
Speaking in 2022, he said: "I'm really proud of my family's name: Hamilton. Actually, none of you might know that my mum's [sur]name is Larbalestier. And I'm just about to put that in my name."
Hamilton indicated he planned to adopt the updated name in 2025, though it remains unclear precisely when the change will be made official.
He went on to say: "Because I don't really fully understand the whole idea of why, when people get married, the woman loses her name. I really want her name to continue on with the Hamilton name."
Romance with Kim Kardashian
Hamilton's romance with Kardashian has rarely been out of the spotlight since reports first emerged that the pair were dating in December 2025.
Speculation began to mount after the two were spotted together on New Year's Eve in Aspen, before millions of viewers watched them getting close at the Super Bowl in February. Back in April, the SKIMS owner reportedly made a 1,000-mile round trip just to spend a single day with her new partner.
The reality television star is understood to have travelled from Los Angeles to London aboard her private jet. Come May, the couple were spotted alongside Kardashian's children, whom she shares with former husband Kanye West, at a family dinner.
The pair were also seen enjoying a bike ride together. Kardashian then officially unveiled the relationship on social media in June, and has since become a familiar face at numerous F1 races.
Following a second-place finish at Monaco, Hamilton blew Kardashian a kiss from the podium before publicly addressing the romance for the first time.
"It's amazing to have her come this weekend and have her support. My friends [in general]," he said. "It was an incredible turnout overall. I don't know what else to say. It's amazing to have good people around you and supporting you. And she does that for me every day."
