Full Time Fits has opened its first standalone vintage football shop in Liverpool city centre, marking another milestone for the brand. The company, founded by two University of Liverpool graduates, already has a large online following and a presence at the Baltic Triangle’s Red Brick Market.
From bedrooms to a city centre store
Harrison Jackson and Raye Bradley launched Full Time Fits while at university, initially running the operation from their bedrooms before building a customer base of over 17,000. Following his graduation in 2023, Harrison chose to pursue his passion for football rather than follow a conventional career path, drawing on his master’s degree in sports, business and management.
The pair initially relied on platforms including Vinted and Depop to sell their growing collection of vintage shirts. As demand increased, their university accommodation soon doubled as storage space, with rooms gradually filling up with stock as the side hustle began to take on a life of its own.
Growth and diversification
But as Full Time Fits grew faster than expected, operating solely through third-party platforms came with its challenges. Harrison previously told the ECHO: “I got flagged up on Vinted for basically making too much money, but at this point I had put all my eggs in this basket, so we had to diversify.”
With demand continuing to build, the pair began looking beyond online sales and found new ways to get their collection in front of customers. They took to the streets outside their Mount Pleasant student home, selling shirts directly to passers-by and steadily building a name for themselves.
From market stall to permanent home
Those early efforts opened the door to bigger opportunities. Full Time Fits secured a pitch at the university market, giving the business a more established presence before eventually moving into a unit at the Red Brick Market.
That journey has now led to the brand’s biggest step yet. Just last week, Saturday, September 26, 2026, Full Time Fits opened its first dedicated shop on Upper Newington Street, just off Renshaw Street, bringing its vintage football collection into Liverpool city centre.
Football fashion for the city
But the new store is about more than nostalgia for old football shirts. Vintage and retro sportswear have become increasingly intertwined with contemporary fashion, with football tops now regularly appearing in everyday streetwear.
Harrison told the ECHO, for Full Time Fits, that the changing relationship between football, fashion and streetwear is one he wants to add to here in Liverpool. Speaking from the new store, at number 11, he said: “It’s curated football fashion. We focus on everything - not just the shirts. It’s about premium clothing for us and items that people would actually like, from iconic years, eras and brands.
“The reaction has been great for us. It was a last-minute deadline, and we weren’t sure we'd make the opening, but we told everyone the opening date, so it made us work towards it. It’s great to now see the people who interact with us online and have a proper chat with them.
“It’s been a gradual progression for us but it feels amazing. We have been checking Rightmove everyday for months, trying to find something suitable for us. This place keep up, it was a bit off what we wanted, but we saw this vision and thought we could make something off it.”
Full Time Fits is located at 11 Upper Newington and is open everyday from 11am to 6pm.
