England and Nike have launched a distinctive retro-inspired shirt ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, though it will not feature at the tournament itself. With the Three Lions' opening match now just days away, the side have unveiled the England Nike Energy Top.
Design and Features
Part of the new England Nike Energy Pack lifestyle collection, the blue shirt boasts Nineties-inspired details, including oversized Nike branding and an all-over graphic print showcasing England iconography similar to that found on the latest World Cup strips. Crafted with Nike Dri-FIT technology and a relaxed retro fit, Nike describes the design as one that 'brings vintage football culture into the modern day'.
Pricing and Discount
The Energy Top usually costs £69.99 when buying direct from retailers like Fanatics or the England Official Store, but there is a way for fans to shave more than £16 off the price. To do this, shoppers can sign up for a free TopCashback account to receive a £15 welcome bonus and cashback when shopping at the England store. Combining these means the England Nike Energy Top will be effectively reduced to £53.77 after cashback. This works out to a total discount of £16.22 or roughly 23% off the usual price.
This deal can only be claimed by new TopCashback members, but existing members will still receive cashback that effectively drops the price to £68.77. It is worth noting the England store also charges £4.95 for standard delivery.
Collection Details
Also in the Nike Energy Pack is the England Nike Energy Jacket (£89.99). Designed with Nike's Dri-FIT technology, this jacket combines '90s-inspired styling with a red, white and blue pattern alongside 'ENGLAND' printed on the back above the Nike swoosh. Rounding out the collection is the matching England Nike Energy Pants (£79.99), featuring the national team crest on the right leg.
Alternatively, England fans can knock 20% off the entire England Retro collection at Kitbag with a deal ending this week. By entering the code RETRO20, more than 16 classic England shirts can be purchased at a reduced price before the offer closes on Thursday (June 11).
Fan Reactions
As for the England Nike Energy Top itself, a number of fans have already praised it as 'beautiful' and the 'best' England kit to date. Taking to X, one supporter wrote: 'Beautiful kit. The best so far.' Not everyone was won over, however, with one critic commenting: 'The state of that.' Meanwhile, another fan offered a more measured verdict: 'The sizing feels really great. Above all, the colour is incredibly beautiful.'
