Edinburgh Woollen Mill to Open New Ayr Store

The Edinburgh Woollen Mill is set to open a new store in Ayr later this month, marking the brand's second location in the town.

New Store Details

The store will be located at the Ayr Dobbies Garden Centre on Holmston Road, Ayr. It joins an existing Edinburgh Woollen Mill on Ayr's High Street, with a third Ayrshire store in Largs.

Founded in 1946 as the Langholm Dyeing and Finishing Company Limited in a Scottish Borders mill town, the retailer has grown into a household name with more than 200 stores nationwide.

Opening Celebrations

The new store will open its doors on August 20, 2026, and will celebrate with giveaways, including a £100 gift card prize draw and vouchers in store.

A spokesperson for the firm said: "We are excited to welcome visitors to our new store to explore our wonderful collections. It's going to be a great addition to the local retail mix."

Shoppers can browse sought-after men's and ladieswear collections, including Country Rose, Isle, Honor Milburn, James Pringle and P Field, as well as textiles, gifts and accessories.
