Dusk has launched a rare 20% off sale on its website ahead of Black Friday, and homeware shoppers have been scrambling to get themselves a bargain. One of the most popular offerings is the Oxford Cotton Rich Quilted Bedspread in Champagne, down to £40 from its usual £50 price tag when you use the code EXTRA20 at checkout.
Hotel-level luxury at a discount
The Quilted Bedspread is described on the Dusk website as a way to "make a statement in the softest way," crafted from 100% pure cotton to bring "hotel-level luxury to your everyday." The description adds: "The quilted, woven fabric offers a beautifully tactile feel. Generously sized and effortlessly stylish, it’s perfect for draping over your bed for added warmth and a touch of elegance."
Shoppers can style it with the matching Oxford cushion cover (£8 instead of £10 with code EXTRA20) for a coordinated look, or layer with soft neutrals for a more relaxed feel.
Other bedspreads reduced in the sale
Other items reduced in the Dusk sale include the Paris Matte Velvet Quilted Bedspread in Olive Green, now £44 instead of £55, and the Noa Ruffle Edge Stripe Bedspread in Chocolate, now £52 instead of £65. The Mohair Style Throw in Forest Green is £20, down from £25 with the same code.
Away from Dusk, Dunelm's Helston Quilted Bedspread is a popular option, costing £30 to £40 and available in ten different colourways. Bedding Envy, trusted by five-star hotels like the Hilton, Best Western & Britannia Hotels, is also running a 50% off sitewide sale, ending Sunday.
Shopper praise and criticism
The Oxford Cotton Rich Quilted Bedspread has been heaped with shopper praise, with many calling it 'excellent quality' and saying it 'looks expensive'. One five-star reviewer wrote: "Gorgeous bedspread so soft, looks incredible, my daughter has bought one for her bed once she saw mine. Delivery quick. Dusk great company."
Another added: "Got this and the matching pillows- lovely quality- not too thick or thin. Very large (we have a double bed and this is bigger than the whole bed)!" A third said: "Lovely and cosy to throw over on a chilly night."
One shopper knocked a star off for sizing, writing: "Really like the texture and thickness of it. The only thing I would say is that it's slightly too short on the sides for a superking sized bed and it also creases easily." Another didn't like the colour of the aubergine version, stating: "Looks good on super king bed. Only criticism I have is that I thought the aubergine colour would be a little brighter."
Despite this, another five-star reviewer said: "Perfect finish to styling the bed gives it a 5 star hotel quality and so comfortable." The bedspread remains a popular choice for those seeking a hotel-style look at home.
