Dunelm has cut the price of its Austin Boucle Wool Rug, with the smallest size now available for £34.50. The 80cm x 150cm version is reduced from its original price, while the largest size, measuring 240cm x 340cm, costs £419.
Soft and durable design
The rug features a classic boucle texture and is described by Dunelm as "naturally durable." Shoppers have given it a rating of four out of five stars on the retailer's website.
The product description states: "The Austin Boucle Wool Rug provides a subtle touch of refined simplicity. The supersoft cloud-like pile is textured with a stylish boucle effect. Made from 100% looped wool, this rug adds a cosy staple piece into a minimalist living room, or style in your bedroom for an indulgently soft texture underfoot."
Shopper reviews
One customer said: "Beautiful wool rug, just what we were looking for for our baby's room to crawl and walk around. I wanted to avoid synthetic rugs since my baby puts everything in her mouth and I didn't want her to eat microplastics shedding onto her hands and toys."

Care instructions and alternatives
Dunelm advises: "Wool is a natural fibre, and shedding is normal for a long period. Unroll your rug and leave for 24 hours during first use. Maintain your wool rug by vacuuming regularly with a nozzle attachment, this will reduce shedding over time. Cut any loose fibres with scissors, do not pull. For accidental spills blot immediately and spot clean with a damp white cloth, do not rub or over saturate the fibres to keep them soft and plush. Add an anti-slip underneath your rug to prevent slipping. Rotate every few months to prolong the life of your rug."
