Dunelm has reduced its 3 Tier Heated Airer Cover to £12.80, a 20% discount from its usual £16 price, offering shoppers a way to cut drying time and save energy during cold weather.
The cover is made from a fire-resistant material and features a mesh fabric bottom to promote optimal airflow for efficient drying. It is designed to work with the 3 Tier Heated Airer, creating a warm, enclosed space that speeds up moisture evaporation, according to the product description.
Shopper reviews and ratings
The airer cover has received a 4.5-star review rating from shoppers. One five-star review said: "The cover was easy to use and covered the airer really well. Felt it helped to dry clothes quickly."
Another five-star review said: "The answer to drying clothes in wet, cold weather. Direct from the washing machine onto three drying rack, put on the heater cover, go to bed and wake up to dry, warm clothes."
However, one shopper noted: "Haven't used it. I unfolded it but found it too difficult to cover the drier. Dryer dries things quickly without the cover. The cover is very difficult to fold up and store. I think the cover is unnecessary."
Compatible airer and alternatives
Dunelm also offers the Three Tier Heated Airer, priced at £95 and marked as 'in demand' on the website. It provides 20m of drying space and can hold up to 15kg of washing.
For those with a larger budget, Argos offers the Minky Sure Dri Heat Pod Pro with 3 Tier Airer Cover for £60, which shoppers say is 'not expensive to run'. It fits any standard three-tier airer, uses a maximum of 1,000 watts, and the cover folds down when not in use.
One shopper said of the Dunelm cover: "Very happy with this purchase, significantly helps reduce drying time."
