Lakeland is offering the DrySoon Heated Drying Pod Airer for £79.99, a device that costs just 26p to run per drying cycle, compared to the 65p cost of a standard tumble dryer. The gadget is designed to circulate hot air around clothes while holding up to 12 items at a time.
Design and Features
The airer includes a timer function that allows it to run for up to three hours before automatically switching off, helping users avoid wasting energy. Its versatile design is compatible with a variety of clothing types, making it suitable for those who regularly dry large loads.
For those seeking alternatives, the Spring & Spruce Speedi-Dry Tower Compact Heated Clothes Airer is available on Amazon at a reduced rate, dropping from £119.99 to £99.99. This model features three tiers and heats up to speed up drying.
Customer Feedback
Shoppers who purchased the DrySoon Heated Drying Pod Airer praised its performance. One customer noted: "Even better than the heated racks in my opinion." Another added: "Whatever the weather, your drying day blues are over. Every time you use it you thank your lucky stars, job done."
A third said: "Have only tried turning on to check it works, but it looks like a really nifty thing. Looking forward to using it. Very easy to assemble." A fourth added: "This product is great, dries my washing quick without it being stuck on radiators and hanging round the house, good for all those things that can not go in the tumble dryer! Fantastic piece of kit, can not fault!"
Criticisms and Alternatives
However, one less pleased customer wrote: "We do a lot of washing and found the dryer really useful for drying children's clothes. All great until the legs became warped and it collapsed after 10 months' use. I will be returning it for a refund."
Another added: "Excellent, but there is room for improvement: the cover seems flimsy - especially compared to the other dryers' covers - and if full, it takes longer than optimum. However, I find it very useful - small footprint and all."
Other options include the Extra Large 4-Tier Clothes Airer with Wheels, available on Amazon for £39.99, which offers extendable side wings for additional drying space while staying compact.
