Hundreds of eager fans gathered outside St Luke’s Bombed Out Church in Liverpool today as Dave’s Hot Chicken gave away 400 free menu items ahead of its official opening on Friday, July 17, at 12pm. The queue stretched along Bold Street under scorching heat, with some customers waiting up to two hours to sample the brand’s famous sliders.
Free Giveaways and Official Opening
The preview event saw the team distribute 400 free sliders to the crowd. When the restaurant officially opens next week, the first 200 customers in line will also receive complimentary items. The new venue, located on Lord Street in Liverpool ONE, marks the brand’s debut in the North West and its seventh UK location.
Dave’s Hot Chicken has expanded rapidly to over 300 outlets in the United States and six sites across England, including London, Sheffield, Birmingham, Stevenage, and Shaftesbury. The Liverpool restaurant will sit just metres from rival chicken chains KFC, Popeyes, and Wingstop.
Menu and Spice Scale
The fast-casual restaurant will offer fresh-to-order chicken tenders and sliders across seven spice levels, from Not Hot to the infamous Reaper level, which requires signing a waiver. Sides include mac & cheese, kale slaw, loaded fries, and new saucy bites, along with loaded shakes and fruity slushes.
Keyana Mohammadi, Director of Marketing at Dave’s Hot Chicken UK, said: “Liverpool is a city that knows how to make an impression. It’s bold, vibrant and full of personality - qualities that sit at the heart of everything we do at Dave’s Hot Chicken. We’ve had our sights set on Liverpool for some time, and we can’t wait to introduce our crave-worthy hot chicken to a city that’s famous for embracing great food, great experiences and a great night out.”

Brendan Hattam, Centre Director at Liverpool ONE, added: “There’s been a lot of buzz around Dave’s Hot Chicken arriving at Liverpool ONE and we’re excited for it to open its doors. This new arrival will help strengthen the range of food on-the-go options for our visitors.”
The opening is expected to draw significant crowds, continuing the brand’s rapid UK expansion and adding to Liverpool’s thriving hospitality scene.
