The owners' passion is evident in an extensive menu of 14 fresh draught craft beers and wines, available by the glass or bottle to take home. For non-drinkers, the bar provides a large list of non-alcoholic options, including fun and flavourful mocktails like the raspberry spritz, which the reviewer found far superior to standard soft drinks. Non-alcoholic sparkling wine is also available, enjoyed alongside pastries or cake.

The sweet treats are delicious: the almond croissant is buttery with a soft centre, and the Victoria sponge cake offers a balanced cream and jam filling with a moist sponge base. Despite being a bar, the venue has a calming nature, mirrored by the tranquil waters of Barry Harbour. Patrons can sit outside in the shade, read a book, and enjoy a drink in the evening—an ideal summer night.

Craft Republic has been recognised as Winner of UK's Best Independent Craft Beer Bar or Pub (City) 2022 by SIBA, and Winner of the Bar Category in the Cardiff Life Awards in 2023 and 2021. The venue hosts events including comedy nights, pub quizzes, food vendor pop-ups, and beer tastings.
