Costa Coffee has launched its 2026 Christmas menu, adding new drinks, sandwiches, snacks, and desserts. A food reviewer who spent £50 sampling the range found the Gingerbread Iced Matcha Latte disappointing, scoring it just 3 out of 10, while the Ultimate Yule Brownie Hot Chocolate impressed with an 8.5 out of 10 rating.
New Festive Additions and Reviewer's Verdict
The seasonal line-up includes a Golden Hazel Latte with Ferrero Rocher, a Gingerbread Iced Matcha Latte, Pigs in Blankets 'Nduja Mac and Cheese, and a Festive Flatbread. Instagram user bigdaddybdfoods tested the entire menu and shared his ratings.
He described the gingerbread iced matcha as his least favourite, saying it had "zero gingerbread flavour" and was "very watery." The toffee apple crumble also missed the mark, scoring 6 out of 10 due to weak toffee and apple flavours and a dry texture.
High Scores for Hot Chocolate and Yule Log
The reviewer awarded 8.5 out of 10 to both the Ultimate Yule Brownie Hot Chocolate and the black forest yule log. He praised the hot chocolate as "super rich and indulgent" with a delicious yule log chocolate flavour, and called the yule log "perfectly balanced" with moist chocolate cake and black cherry filling.
Other items scored included the Festive Flatbread at 7 out of 10, the festive feast toasty at 7.5, the chocolate brownie fudge cake at 7.5, the golden hazelnut frappe rocher at 7.5, the Philly cheesesteak toasty at 8, and the Dubai speculoos tiffin at 8.
